Custom pilot lists
We distribute non-sensitive FAA data to the public. Our information comes directly from the FAA processing center. Pilots are grouped into six certificate categories according to experience and training:
- Student — in training
- Recreational — small aircraft with certain limitations
- Sport — Light Sport Aircraft with certain limitations
- Private — most aircraft with few limitations
- Commercial — can fly for hire
- ATP — can captain an airliner
Only commercial and ATP-rated pilots can fly for hire. Within these categories are many ratings, including certified flight instructors (CFI / CFII), instrument-rated pilots qualified to fly in IMC under IFR, and helicopter (rotorcraft) pilots.
Airman’s directory data
The airman’s directory file contains data on all pilots with a current medical certificate registered in the USA. Data can be selected by state, county, or ZIP code. Data is updated monthly.
